St.-Barth — island of the super-rich
Have you already heard about Caribbean’s fashionable and most exclusive island St. Barth? It’s a perfect little one with beautiful white sand beaches and crystal blue water. St. Barth was discovered by Christopher Columbus and named after his brother, Bartolomeo.
The island is only 21 square kilometers in size and has a population of 8 450 people. The language, cuisine and culture are distinctly French.
St. Barth boasts with 20 paradisial beaches — there is something for everyone: beach going, yachting, jet skiing, snorkeling, fishing and surfing.
Most of the year puffy white clouds parade through a clear blue sky and warm balmy breezes gently ruffle hair. That certainly offers the very best sailing conditions with sunshine, winds and lively seas.
This year the second edition of the Voiles de Saint-Barth is taking place between the fourth and ninth of April 2011 whereof Gaastra has become official partner.
But not only sailing is interesting on St. Barth – if you like to meet some VIPs, you have to visit St. Barth. The two-week period just before Christmas through the New Year is the busiest and most-loved time for partys in St. Barth. Especially in this time the island attracts multimillionaires and many celebrities, converging on private jets and yachts, helping to sell out the island.
This New Year’s Eve you could have seen Demi Moore with her husband Ashton Kutcher, David Garrett with his new girlfriend Mia Florentine Weiss, Salma Hayek and the Black Eyed Peas, among many others!
The stops on the Caribbean Challenge St. Lucia, St. Barth and St. Thomas are probably one of the most beautiful places. Therefor it is not far-fetched that the Caribbean Challenge Summer Collection is influences by these colorful, adventurous and nautical impressions. Enter into this caribbean world and enjoy the collection for Juniors, Men and Women.
