Gaastra: Impressions of the SAIL Amsterdam 2010

The Gaastra Crew was told in advance that the SAIL Amsterdam is one of the largest sailing events in the world — but we had no idea how impressive that was.
In the early morning we got carried down the IJ (the river that runs through Amsterdam) to change onto the pretty norwegian sailing boat “Sorlandet”. From this moment on it was already impossible to count all the little boats, big sailing yachts and modern ships that surrounded us. Every boat had its own fancy character and individual history to present. During the five hour Sail In Parade back to Amsterdam you had an unique view on nautical history with hundreds and thousands of visitors on riverside.
The Gaastra Crew enjoyed every minute of it and was proud more than ever to wear the SAIL Amsterdam Collection 2010.
